Status: ENSO Neutral. ENSO remains neutral, but there are signs that a La Niña may be developing.
October 2025 recorded a total monthly rainfall of 74.8 mm. The highest daily rainfall occurred on Monday 6 October, with 47.0 mm recorded — attributed to an active trough of low pressure that brought increased cloud cover and occasional showers across the island.
Temperature readings ranged from a low of 21.1 °C to a high of 28.6 °C. The peak was recorded on 26 October under a high-pressure system that generated fresh to strong easterly winds, while the coolest conditions occurred on 22 October as an easterly flow eased average temperatures to 21.1 °C.

During October, weather over Niue was dominated by persistent high-pressure systems. This pattern brought fresh to strong east-to-southeast winds with occasional gusts, partly cloudy skies, and periods of showers — including some heavier falls — along with spells of dry weather.

The marine warnings brought east-to-southeast winds of 40–45 km/h, gusting to 60 km/h at times, with rough to very rough seas and moderate to heavy southwest swells. Southwest swells and clear afternoon sunsets were also observed throughout October.

November 2025 was an exceptionally wet month, with a total rainfall of 702.7 mm — the wettest November in over 120 years of rainfall records. The heaviest rain fell on Tuesday 18 November, when 329.3 mm was recorded in a single day. A low-pressure system brought widespread cloud cover and frequent rain across the island, resulting in flooding in some low-lying areas.
Temperatures ranged from 23.0 °C to 30.0 °C. The warmest day was 26 November, when light to moderate north-easterly winds allowed temperatures to rise, while the coolest conditions occurred on 2 November as stronger, occasionally gusty north-easterly winds brought cooler air.

November 2025 weather over Niue was influenced by a trough of low-pressure systems. These produced moderate to fresh easterly winds, mostly cloudy conditions and frequent rainfall — including periods of heavy rain and flooding in low-lying areas.

During warning periods, easterly winds of 40–45 km/h gusting to 60 km/h were observed, with rough to very rough seas and moderate to heavy southwest swells reaching up to 4.0 metres. Reduced visibility was reported at times due to heavy rain and thunderstorms. Flooding in low-lying areas resulted from an active trough of low pressure that affected Niue on 18 November 2025.
